I started dancing when I was 4, doing tap and modern and did many exams with ISTD. At 9, I started ballet with Miss Leigh and fell in love with dancing even more.
At 16 I danced with Hampshire Youth Dance Company, where I was able to explore the world of dance further. This led me to audition for Laban and I was accepted with a full scholarship. I was fortunate to work with so many leading choreographers of that time, including Lea Anderson and Akram Khan.
After some time dancing professionally, I decided to settle down and have children. During that time I came back to ISTD and got my teaching qualifications in ballet, tap and modern.
I am now a lecturer at Chichester College, teaching Level 3 dance and course leading Level 3 dance, alongside an amazing team. I am honoured to be asked to teach at Mandaleigh.
