At Mandaleigh Dance Studios we teach Imperial Classical Ballet and Cecchetti Ballet classes following the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus.
Ballet is the foundation to many dance styles and is a fun and classical style of dance to learn and perform. Ballet training is for students who wish to dance for pleasure and also for those who are interested in progressing to professional training. ISTD Ballet classes are available for dancers of all ages and students are invited to take either Graded examinations or Class examinations, but these are not compulsory.
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabi are fun and enjoyable for younger students and provide a good and clear progression for students who continue their training to Intermediate and Advanced levels.
After some time, students maybe invited to purchase their pointe shoes. Class teachers will decide when each individual student is ready. This will depend on their ability and age.
Cecchetti classes are offered on an invitation basis to students Grade 2 and over.
